CARBON REPAIR SERVICE:
This repair fixes the weak and undersized seatpost of the Giant TCR Adv Pro models that gets damaged by the clamp (even at low torques). The clamp also gets re-worked. The main issue is that these seatposts are too loose in the seat tube and a poor fit on the clamp. The sharp edges of the clamp then bite into the seatpost, deform it and eventually crush it.
The clamped area is reinforced, both in compression with hoop plies and longitudinally. The fit is made as tight as possible in the frame whilst still allowing adjustment for seat height. This demands less of the clamp with lower bolt torque.
An optional strengthening inset is available for those not running di2 batteries.
