The clamp also gets re-worked. The main issue is that these seatposts are too loose in the seat tube and a poor fit on the clamp. The sharp edges of the clamp then bite into the seatpost, deform it and eventually crush it. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe clamped area is reinforced, both in compression with hoop plies and longitudinally. The fit is made as tight as possible in the frame whilst still allowing adjustment for seat height.
